About Difiance
I began to experiment with repairing and building guitars almost twenty years ago.
Pursuing it further, I graduated from Red Wing Technical College in the Stringed
Instrument Repair course in 1992. Around 1997, I decided to take it a little
further and begin not only making instruments for myself, but also for other people
to enjoy. I take great pride in watching others performing on stage with and instrument
that I built. I am not out to build thousands of guitars, nor am I a human CNC machine.
Each one is built to the best of my ability to play well, sound great and look good.
They are all made by hand, by me from step one.
Update: I now only use domestic, North American hardwoods for the necks and bodies,
mostly from local sawmills. The fingerboards are rosewood and is the only exotic material
on standard models. The finish has also changed and will be a water based acrylic from now on.
